A QR code on a poster or a menu needs to be vector, or it will be a blurry approximation of a machine-readable thing, which is worse than useless.

QR codes went from a punchline to infrastructure in about two years, and the main thing that separates a working one from a wasted print run is boring: enough physical size, enough contrast, and a URL encoded directly rather than routed through a service that can disappear. A printed code cannot be edited, which makes the second point matter far more than it seems at the time.

Do these QR codes expire?
No. The URL is encoded directly into the pattern, so there is no intermediate service that can shut down. That is the difference between a static code and a "dynamic" one from a service that requires a subscription to keep working.
How small can a QR code be printed?
About two centimetres square for a short URL scanned from close range. Longer content needs a denser pattern and therefore more physical space. Test at actual size before printing a thousand of them.
Should I use PNG or SVG?
SVG for anything printed, since it stays sharp at any size. PNG for screens, emails and slide decks where a raster is simpler to place.
Can I put a logo in the middle?
Not with this tool. QR codes carry error correction that tolerates a small central cover, but the safe amount depends on the content length, and getting it wrong produces a code that scans on your phone and fails on someone else's.
