Why this one
A studio mark is usually a logo, and typing a name in a default font is not the same thing.
A watermark has to be visible enough to deter and faint enough not to ruin the image, and that balance is a slider, not a preset.
Corner placement is easy to crop out, so the position is yours to set rather than fixed.
The short version
A watermark is a compromise between two things that pull in opposite directions: being visible enough to deter reuse and quiet enough not to ruin the image it is protecting. Nothing resolves that tension, which is why the useful controls are opacity and position rather than a single "add watermark" button that picks for you.
Questions
It stops casual reuse and it credits you when the image travels. It does not stop anyone determined, since a corner mark can be cropped and a faint one can be edited out. Treat it as attribution rather than security.
Over part of the subject if deterrence matters, since a corner is trivially cropped away. In a corner if attribution matters more than protection and you do not want to spoil the image.
Between 30 and 50 percent for most images. Below 20 it stops being a deterrent, above 60 it starts competing with the photograph.
